Madrid...or is it Milan???

Today was our last day in Seville and we had a late afternoon train to catch to Madrid. We went shopping after check out and breakfast and then headed straight to the train station. We got into Madrid around supper time so we went for more tapas which were equally amazing as a few nights ago. We were determined to go out in Madrid since Spanish nightlife is supposed to be the best and we had really slacked the last few nights. It was our one and only night in Madrid so it had to be done. We came back and got ready and then went down to the “cave bar” at the hostel and started into the 1 L sangrias. This group of guys invited us to sit with them so we had some drinks with the German, the Argentinean and a Brazilian. We convinced them to go on the pub crawl with us. It’s funny because normally pub crawls start between 8 and 10 but in Madrid it didn’t start until 1am. So we all signed up and kept drinking our sangria. There was a group of Irish boys sitting beside us too. We ended up chatting with them too once we started to head out for the pub crawl. The boys we were originally talking to didn’t really like that a lot but we were just having fun and meeting a bunch of people. The deal with the pub crawl was a free shot at every bar and drink discounts and free entry to the club...pretty standard. What was new was that the shots were tequila! Boy oh boy! Not a nice surprise! Anyhow, we carried on the night and went to two bars and then the club and the tour pretty well died off by the club since people were super drunk by then and went home. Heather, me, 2 of the four Irish guys, the German guy and the Brazilian guy were all that was left at the end. We had also met a Canadian guy and an Australian guy at one of the bars but they didn’t go to the club since they weren’t on the pub crawl but were staying at the same hostel as us. So after a great night, we shut the club down at 6 and headed back to the hostel where we chilled out for a long while after and didn’t get to bed until 930. We had met back up with the Aussie guy and chilled with him for a bit when we got back too.
