We had to get up and moving this morning despite our awful sleep last night. There was a free walking tour that started at 1030 on the other side of the town. So, we made our way there and joined in. The tour was not great but I suppose it has to do with the information and sights available. The history was pretty broken up and focused on communism, not thrilling at all and the buildings of the communist days are really quite ugly. Oh well, it was our way of seeing Budapest in a few hours. Then we were off to the baths. Budapest has a lot of Turkish baths and we were told that one in particular was big and really nice. So, we headed across town and when we arrived, were definitely not disappointed. There is a large outdoor pool that was quite popular along with several indoor ones. We started outdoors, and then worked our way through the indoor ones. They were all of varying temperatures and there were both wet and dry saunas. They were really hot but felt good! We spent about 3 hours at the baths and then decided to head back. We grabbed some takeaway and wine on the way home and headed to the terrace for dinner. It was a pretty chill day but we were quite tired and not showered at this point so we decided to have an early night and go out tomorrow.
